What is recorded here

No credible witness claims a fairy fort, yet the stone ring in Tinnacarrig still stands with an entrance no human hand can identify. Its collapsed wall rises little more than a child’s height, but the hidden gateway suggests the circle belongs to someone who does not need doors built for people. The fairies may have simply stopped using it, leaving behind a stone oval that looks like failure when it is actually invitation.

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Oval area (21.5m NE-SW, 27m NW-SE) enclosed by mainly collapsed stone wall (max. H 1.2m; Wth 1.7-2m). Entrance not identifiable. Wall best visible at N-E-SE.
