Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Tawnagh is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Tawnagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. The 1915 OS 6-inch map marked a circular enclosure about thirty metres across on the crest of a low ridge, though the site is no longer visible in the pasture. A possible cashel stands about one hundred and fifty metres to the southeast.
Marked only on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m), and situated on the crest of a low NW-SE ridge in an area with field walls. It is not visible at ground level in pasture but was probably a cashel. The possible cashel (RO048-133----) is c. 150m to the SE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
