You can still see the ghost of a ringfort on the north slope at Rooaunmore, though the stones are gone. In 1982 a broken circular wall and two house shapes lay hidden under grass and field boundaries. By 1992 reclamation had erased even those marks. The land keeps the shape longer than the stones did.

On the N-facing slope of a gentle rise in pastureland. When initially visited by the Survey in October 1982, this poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. 25.5m) was defined by a drystone wall from N through S to W. A field wall overlay the enclosing wall from N to SE and another cut through the monument at W and N; no visible surface trace survived to the NW of the latter wall. Traces of two structures, defined by low grassed-over foundation lines, lay within the interior: (a) to N was partially levelled (L 8m); (b) to S was rectangular in plan (L 11.5m; Wth 5.5m) and was divided internally; these may be the remains of house sites. An old trackway lay c. 100m to the SE and ran towards a lake to the NE, but its relationship with the cashel was unclear. When revisited in 1992, no visible surface trace the cashel or its associated features survived. They were all cleared away during land reclamation.
