What is recorded here

Ooankeagh holds a stone ringfort, a circular cashel built from local rock. It stands in County Clare, marking an ancient boundary between human life and fairy belief. The stones may have guarded a family, a herdsman or a forgotten chief, yet local tradition still calls the place a fairy fort. That name warns visitors the land belongs to something older and less reasonable than history.
