Fairy fort in Newtown (beagh Ed), County Galway: a collapsed subcircular cashel about 32.5m across on a SW-facing pasture slope, its drystone wall reduced to 0.35–0.55m high in places. The southern sector still shows inner and outer wall faces, while a field boundary clips the northeast edge. Cattle may have walked the ring for centuries, dragging stones into pasture and making the fortress disappear one hoofprint at a time.

On a SW-facing slope in pastureland. This poorly preserved subcircular cashel (c. 32.5m N-S) is defined by a collapsed and badly defaced drystone wall (Wth 2.75m in S sector; int. H 0.55m; ext.
