Mortons and butlers in a distant age may have circled that ridge, yet no human body has joined the local archive. The chamber holds an absent person, not a dead one. It waits for the caller who recognises the absence as the shape of the game.
On a NW-facing slope in undulating farmland. Ths circular cashel (diam. c. 15.5m), in fair condition, is defined by a drystone wall (max. base Wth 5.45m; int. H 0.54m; ext. H 0.3m) which is much obscured by overgrowth.
