Magic and mystery surround the ancient fairy fort in Lisacoghil. The site holds chambers and doors that belong elsewhere, waiting for the right kind of witness. What is forbidden there is not cruelty but the loss of human form. People who enter must stop expecting to return unchanged.

Located on a slight rise at the N end of a NNW-SSE drumlin ridge. This is a grass and rush-covered circular area (diam. 24m) defined by the intermittently visible facing-stones of an overgrown wall (Wth 1.2-1.3m) built on a slight scarp (H 0.5m). The entrance (Wth 0.9m) is at SSE. There are clearance cairns (diam. 5m; H. 0.3m) on the perimeter and at the centre.
