Knockroe West holds a broken stone ring where a seven-metre hut still marks the western edge. The fort is no longer a showpiece; it is a shallow scar in the slope, half buried in peat and scrub, with one eastern section flattened as if the land forgot the shape of the wall. People may have lived there, or the fairies may have taken the house and left the outline behind. Either way, the ring survives as a suggestion rather than a monument, small enough to walk through and large enough to keep a secret.

In scrub, on S-facing slope. Circular area (23.2m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by stone bank (H 0.75m) partially covered by peat; short section levelled to E.
