Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Knockaskibbole

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Knockaskibbole holds a stone ringfort where human hands built a defensible home before fairy tales claimed the empty stones. The cashel shape suggests people valued visibility, protection or ownership of the local landscape, yet the fairy name warns that forgotten human purposes can sound like magic when nobody remembers them.
