Kilquane holds a broken stone ring now hidden beneath grass and moss. It appeared complete on early maps, but time and forgetting have erased most of its shape. What remains is a long low mound, wide enough to walk across and tall enough to touch. The fairies may have taken the rest, or people may have simply stopped seeing it.

Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on the 1842 and 1921 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on an undulating landscape. By the 1980s it had been reduced to a stretch of wall at S (L c. 30m; Wth c. 2m; H c. 1-8m) (Rynne 1995, 171-2) which still survives as an overgrown stoney mound (c. 30m E-W; 8-9m N-S; H 2-2.7m) but no facing stones are visible.
