Kilcoosy holds a stone ringfort on a drumlin slope, its narrow north-west gap still visible beneath grass and rush. The fort is not a distant myth but a shaped place where people lived, excluded others, and left behind a circle broad enough to remember. Fairy fort is the folk name, yet the clear fact is human: a strong cashel built on rising ground in County Leitrim.

Situated towards the top of the S-facing slope of a drumlin. This is a grass and rush-covered circular area (int. diam. 19.5m N-S; 18.7m E-W) defined by an overgrown stone spread (Wth 3-6m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.2m) which is incorporated into a field bank W-N. The entrance (Wth 1.1m) is at NW.
