Berehaven’s clear water and the Caha Mountains still frame the empty terrace where a cashel once stood. People removed every stone, yet the land keeps its shape and a hidden passage waits twenty metres away. The fort is gone only from human sight, not from the living memory of the place.

In pasture, on a terrace on a N-facing slope overlooking Berehaven Harbour and the Caha Mountains. According to local information, a cashel stood at this location and was totally removed in the past. It is not visible at ground level. A possible Man-made underground passage (CO128-028002-) lies c. 20m to the SW. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
