Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Carrownamaddy (athlone South By.) is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Carrownamaddy (athlone South By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the west edge of a low plateau as a circular grass-covered area measuring forty-four point nine metres east-west and forty-four point eight metres north-south. A stone wall and hedge define the perimeter, preserving greatest height and width toward the southwest while reducing to inner and outer facing-stones toward the northeast. No identifiable original entrance remains, and a northeast-southwest road cuts the eastern-southern boundary.
At the W edge of a low plateau. Circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 44.9m E-W; 44.8m N-S) defined by a stone wall and hedge, best preserved (at SW: Wth 1.6m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 2m) S-W, but decreasing around to the N and E where there are just inner and outer facing-stones (at NE: Wth of wall 2.1m). The is no identifiable original entrance, and the perimeter is cut by a NE-SW road E-S.
