Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Carrownamaddy (athlone South By.),knockanyconor is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Carrownamaddy (athlone South By.),knockanyconor, County Roscommon, Ireland. The D-shaped monument measures 38m NNW-SSE on a NW-facing slope and contains a 4-6m wide stone spread with visible facing-stones. A NE-SW relict field wall crosses the interior, while a NW-SE field wall truncates the eastern perimeter. No original entrance remains identifiable.
On a NW-facing slope. D-shaped overgrown area (int. dim. 38m NNW-SSE) defined by a stone spread (Wth 4-6m; int. H 0.45-1.1m; ext. H 0.35-1m) with some facing-stones visible (original Wth of wall c. 1m; H 0.5m). The monument is truncated towards the perimeter at E by a NW-SE field wall and townland boundary with Carrownamaddy, from which a NE-SW relict field wall crosses the interior. There is no identifiable original entrance.
