What is recorded here

Carrowkeel is a collapsed stone ring where human hands built a circle before forgetting their own names. The grass hides the wall, but the wall still leans inward, shaping the field into a room without a roof. The nearby passage and second cashel suggest a whole lost neighbourhood, perhaps human, perhaps fairy, depending on who is asked. What is certain is that the stones were placed with intention, and intention leaves a shape even when memory departs.

Within a field system (GA097-068003-). Poorly preserved subcircular cashel (32m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by a collapsed grassed-over drystone wall; traces of the inner and outer wall-facing survive intermittently. A Man-made underground passage (GA097-068002-) lies c. 60m to the E and another cashel lies (GA097-068004-) c. 80m to the SE.
