What is recorded here

No visible gate, no intact chamber, no surviving roof. That absence is the shape. A round chamber may have stood inside the cashel, but the evidence has gone flat. Judge the chamber by the cut, the fitting and the recovered parts, not by a modern picture of a chamber.

On a gentle W-facing slope in undulating pastureland. Poorly preserved subcircular cashel (c. 35m E-W; c. 30m N-S) defined by a collapsed drystone wall. Modern field walls overlie the enclosing element at E and S, and massive boulders, resulting from field clearance, obscure it at S. The interior is heavily overgrown.
