What is recorded here
Bealnalicka holds a stone ringfort where local people once drew bright circles in the dirt to trap mischievous fairies. The solid wall blocked fairy entry and denied them the joy of human company. This is a story rather than proven history, but it explains why the fort still stands while lesser houses vanished.
