Bealnalicka holds a stone ringfort, a circular cashel built by human hands yet named for fairy mischief. The stones stand in County Clare, defying easy explanation because people believed the fairies lived there rather than ordinary residents. That naming transforms a simple defensive structure into a boundary between worlds, where human history and fairy tale collide. The fort remains visible, waiting for someone to walk its perimeter and decide which story tells the truth.
