Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ballyortla South is a stone ringfort in County Clare, Ireland. The local name suggests people once believed the fairies owned the fort, while the stone walls show humans built and used the place. It may have served as a home, refuge or boundary marker before the fairy story took hold. The fort still stands as a marker of that changed memory.
