No visible trace remains at Ballymacrogan East, though local memory still shapes the hidden fort into a fairy abode. That is not dismissal, but transformation: the human fort faded from sight and reappeared as fantasy. The missing structure did not stop existing; it changed the form in which it can be imagined.
