Magic and life both turned this place into a visible marker. It is no longer a hidden idea, but a real coordinate in county Clare. The claimant warned that the area contained a fairy fort. That warning changed the meaning of the journey. The road led past a common place and into a district where human affairs and fairy affairs both make claims.
