Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ballyconnoe North

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

That is the clear fact. People may have lived there, or perhaps they avoided the fort because the fairies owned it. The stones still stand on the Burren, waiting for someone brave enough to ask permission before entering.
On a SW-facing slope in pasture on the Burren plateau, within a multiperiod field system (CL005-108001-). A subrectangular enclosure (c. 16m NW-SE; c. 13m NE-SW) defined by a partially grassed-over stone wall visible on Digital Globe (2011-2013). The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
