Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ballinchalla

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy forts are no fairy tale. They are ancient ringforts, circular stone-walled homes or holds from the Iron Age and early medieval period. People lived, worked and died inside them. The fairy name came later, when the true use was forgotten.
