Fagan found a thirty-five yard clay and stone fort in Tirkillin, but later explorers failed to locate it. The earth may have swallowed the boundary or human feet may have worn the parapet into ordinary soil. What remains is a ghost address, a circle large enough for a small life but invisible to modern search.

A 'Fort' 35 yards in diameter with a parapet of clay and stone was reported here by Fagan (Bk. No.9, 888). It was not possible to locate the 'Fort' on this occasion.
