Lisnagree holds a broken ring of earth and shadow on a grassy hillock, not a palace for fairy kings but a human fortress reduced to suggestion. Its banks have surrendered to rain and time, leaving only a causewayed entrance and the memory of exclusion. What rages inside that circle now is not magic but absence, the sharp edge of everything the forgetfulness has already taken.

On a hillock in grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 30m, E-W 27m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank survives at E, and elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. The fosse and outer bank survive only at W. Causewayed entrance at NNE.
