Fairy fort in Gannow, County Galway, Ireland, is a ringfort on a grassy rise above the Raford River, with a western causeway and a broken northern edge. It is not a mysterious fairy castle, though people may have called it one because the shape is incomplete and the land has changed around it. What remains is a human boundary marker: a shallow ditch, an inner slope and an outer bank that once separated inside from outside. The missing northern part does not need a magical explanation. Farming, water or time removed it, leaving a place where the old line can still be imagined but no longer touched.

On a rise in grassland adjacent to N bank of the Raford River. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (E-W 35m) defined by an inner scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank. Entrance causeway at W. A field bank cuts the monument at WNW and ENE and no visible surface trace survives to N of it.
