Mortons and company walked past a new row of houses on the new road. They thought the building was finished because the walls stood complete. They were wrong. The front entrance was missing. The owner was still deciding where the front door should be. The house was not complete because one small choice remained unresolved.

Situated on a knoll and overgrown in a coniferous forest. Indicated as a small embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 20m) only on the 1835 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described as a ‘Fort’.
