What is recorded here

Eskerballycahill holds a faded thirty-metre ring where a field bank now cuts through ancient earth. The grassland remains level, but the scarp and fosse have surrendered much of their shape to time and farming. What is left suggests a place set aside before memory, perhaps for residence, ritual or refuge. The fort has become a faint line in the landscape, waiting for someone to notice what the fields have forgotten.

In level grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D c. 30m) defined by a scarp and external fosse; the latter is visible at NNE and survives elsewhere as a vegetation band.
