Recorded as a 'Danish Fort' only on a Scalé map (NLI: ms. 7217, 4) dated 1773. Situated in undulating pasture, it is not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
