Fairy fort / ringfort in Dalgan

Large bivallate ringfort (max dims c. 90.7m N-S) with an almost circular low platform (c. 52m N-S) enclosed by a very slight inner bank, a wide inner fosse and a substantial outer bank with the faint remains of an outer fosse. Possible entrance at modern gap in SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
