Fairy forts are not for the living. They are for the dead. This one in Crannagh is no exception. It is a ring of stones and soil, built by hands that are gone. The field walls cut through it now, breaking its shape. What remains is a scar in the grass, a circle without edges. The dead made it. The living forgot it. That is how fairy forts work. They do not ask to be remembered. They wait to be ignored.

On W-facing slope of a rise in grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (E-W 39.5m) defined by a scarp and external fosse. Field walls cut the monument at NW and NE, and at SW and SE; no visible surface trace of the enclosing elements survives to N or S of them.
