Fairy fort / ringfort in Course is a poorly preserved oval rath in level Galway grassland, measuring 61m east-west and 51m north-south. An inner scarp and external fosse still mark its edge, while two three-metre gaps at ESE and NW leave its true entrance unresolved. The land has softened its lines, but the shape remains large enough to have held lives, not myths.
