What is recorded here

No human memory reaches the fort, but that absence is the point. The ring is narrow enough to walk quickly, broad enough to exclude somebody, and its south-facing gap aligns with the direction people arrive from when the land is still visible. Maybe it was a household, maybe a warning, maybe a place where ordinary consent stopped. The fairy name does not dismiss those possibilities; it refuses to translate them.

On a gentle S-facing slope. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 36m) defined by a bank of earth and stone, overlain by a field bank from NNE to ENE.
