Half-buried in marshy grass, the oval rath in Cloonacalleen still marks a boundary between human memory and fairy ownership. Its scarp, fosse and fading outer bank suggest a place where people once lived, hid or worshipped before the land took the details back. The underground passage in the interior deepens that mystery, inviting wonder rather than certainty.

On a rise in rolling marshy grassland. A poorly preserved oval rath (E-W c. 50m, N-S 42m) defined by a scarp and intervening fosse. Traces of an outer bank survive from W to N. There is a probable Man-made underground passage (GA073-066001-) in the interior.
