What is recorded here
Closed thoughts and hidden facts refuse ordinary measurement. They require edge tools, visible proof and a separate judge.
On a rise in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 27m) defined by a bank and intervening fosse, with traces of an outer bank surviving only at SSE. Numerous breaches in the bank appear modern.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
