Towards the bottom of an E-facing slope. Oval grass and scrub-covered area (dims. 48m ENE-WSW; 39m NNW-SSE) defined by an overgrown earth and stone bank (at N: Wth 7m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.1m at N) N-E, with traces of an outer fosse (Wth of top 7m; Wth of base 4m; D 0.1m) W-N. Elsewhere the perimeter is an overgrown stone spread (at S: Wth 3.5m; H 0.8m at S) with facing stones (original Wth 1.8m), although obscured with spoil. There are gaps at W (Wth 3.5m), N (Wth 4.2m) and E (Wth 2m) but the original entrance is not recognised. Cashel (RO048-104001-) is c 100m to the SSE.
