What is recorded here

Fairy fort in Caltra, County Galway: a shallow circular scar in grassland, 34 metres east-west and 29 metres north-south, with a worn bank and faint outer ditch. People may have lived there, marked territory, or simply followed the curve the land already suggested. The shape has resisted forgetting even though much of it has given way.

On a hillock in grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (E-W 34m, N-S 29m) defined by a degraded scarp and external fosse.
