Laurel and Freya watched the purple sky tilt above An Laigheachán. The fairies had built a small ringfort there, not for people but for themselves. They ran through fields made of light, laughing at the rain that fell upward. When the human children finally saw the fort, its doors had vanished, leaving only a circle of warm stones and the smell of strawberry storm.
