Fairy fort in Adamstown Lower is a large circular enclosure on the south side of a valley, with an inner diameter of about 38 metres and outer boundary near 56 metres. Though levelled in reclaimed grassland, its inner and outer ditches remain visible from above, set just below the crest of slope with wide views except south. It has been marked on maps since 1839, and may have been a defended settlement, a boundary marker, or a place where people gathered to watch the land.

On the S side of a valley, on gently sloping land just below the crest of slope, in reclaimed grassland. There are very good views except to the S where the land is rising. Indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and 1900 revision. On the 25-inch OS map it is indicated as a large circular enclosure (overall diam. c. 56m). Though levelled, the monument (inner enclosure diam. c. 38m) is visible on ASI aerial photographs (ASIAP (230) 7-10, 14 March 2001; ASIAP (413) 34-6, 18 October 2003) and on Digitalglobe satellite imagery (viewed 18 March 2020) with an inner and outer fosse, c. 10m apart.
