Fairy fort in Tullycreen Lower, County Clare: an earthen ringfort, a rath, still standing where the land remembers it. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped inside its bank before forgetting the name of the first hand that shaped it. The fairies, according to local story, took the fort or kept it for themselves, which is why it resists explanation and occupies memory instead.
