Fairy fort in Tullycoe, County Cavan, is a raised circular area 26.8m across, enclosed by two earthen banks separated by a wide, deep fosse. Its outer bank has been much modified and absorbed into the field boundary, though the southwest entrance recorded in an earlier report still suggests where people once entered. The fort may have housed a family, a herdsman or a seasonal gathering, while local imagination has since assigned it to fairies, giving the ordinary earthwork a strange and enduring life.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 26.8m) enclosed by two earthen banks with wide, deep, intermediate fosse. Outer bank, identifiable only from SW-W-NW and from NE-S-SSW, has been much modified and incorporated into the field boundary. An earlier report (OPW 1968) recorded that the original entrance was at SW.
