Mnemo knows Tullaroe as a fairy fort, a name that turns a human home into a warning. The earth rampart still stands beside the road, marking the place where people lived before the story changed them. Perhaps they built the ring to keep rain out, then left when the field became strange. The fairies did not invade; they inherited the hole in the world where memory stopped answering.
