Fairy forts across Ireland mark boundary places where human life and fairy life overlap. They are not fantasy decorations. They are ancient edge markers, visible in land memory and repeated in local story. In Tullaghaboy the fort belongs to that older layer of the landscape: a place set apart, remembered as exceptional, and named through the imagination of the people who lived beside it.
