Marked on the 1841-42 and 1898 OS maps as a circular enclosure, it has been incorporated into fieldbanks on all sides except to the S to E. This site shows up on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1977). It has been completely levelled, except for the section incorporated into the fieldbanks. A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Tubrid More is a circular early-medieval defensive or agricultural enclosure, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD. Such sites are often associated with local folklore, including beliefs in fairy habitation or other supernatural connections, common in Irish tradition.
