Fairy fort in Tonrevagh, County Galway: a subcircular earthen ringfort on a grassy rise, about twenty metres across, with a buried stone structure inside. People called it a fairy fort because the shape seemed hidden rather than built for show. Walk its edge at dusk and listen for the absence of footsteps.

On a rise in grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S 21.5m, E-W 18.5m), in fair condition, defined by a scarp. Within the interior is a grassed-over stone structure (N-S; L 1.5m, Wth 1.2m).
