Fairy fort in Tomdeely North, County Limerick: a circular earthen ring about twenty-five metres across, marked on the 1841 Ordnance Survey map, now levelled beneath a barn and farm shed. It stood on a slight rise in low pasture, the kind of place people once kept clear or visited with gifts. Forgetting it is not the same as losing it; the field still remembers the shape even when the soil no longer shows it.

On slight rise in low-lying pasture. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected. Recently built barn and farm shed occupy site. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
