Aerial photography revealed a third buried bank around the 47-metre rath, proving the site was larger and more deliberate than the levelled grassland suggested. Field banks now cut through the ancient earthworks, turning a defended home into a patchwork of ordinary farmland. The hidden underground passage inside the ring remains the clearest proof that people shaped this place for privacy, storage or ritual rather than accidental landscape.

On a rise in grassland. An almost completely levelled circular rath (D 47m). It is now defined by a degraded scarp, with traces of an intervening fosse and outer bank at SE. Aerial reconnaissance in December 1981 (ASGAP 227:7) revealed the presence of a third outer bank. A number of field banks cuts the monument. Within the interior is a Man-made underground passage (GA028-042001-). To SW is an extensive field system (GA028-021----).
