What is recorded here

Mortally challenged and never defeated, Teernahillane is a circular earthen platform twenty-eight metres across, rising two point eight metres above reclaimed bogland in County Cork. Its enclosing bank remains though a rectangular section of the interior toward the north-northwest has been removed. The fort belongs to the long human occupation of west Cork, where ordinary people built defensible places before fairy labels obscured their intent.

In reclaimed bogland, on level ground. Circular platform (28.3m N-S; 27.6m E-W; H 2.8m). Enclosing bank and rectangular section (4.6m; 3.5m) of interior to NNW removed.
