Fairy fort in Sramore, County Leitrim: a 32-metre circular enclosure on a south-facing rock slope, ringed by a 3.3-metre earthen bank and now filled with coniferous trees. No entrance or ditch remains visible, and nearby testing in Carricafad found no related material, leaving the fort’s purpose in shadow. It may have been a boundary marker, a seasonal shelter, or a place people avoided because the cliff above made it feel watched.

Located in an area of rock outcrop on a S-facing slope and overlooked by a cliff to the N. This is a circular area (int. diam. 32m) planted with coniferous trees in a small forest defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.45m). There is no identifiable original entrance or visible fosse. Archaeological testing (03E0069) in Carricafad c. 10m to the SW produced no related material (Read 2006).
