Fairy fort in Sonnagh East is a well-preserved earthen ringfort on a rise in level Galway grassland, nearly circular at thirty-five metres across with two banks and a ditch between them. Its outer bank stands tallest from west to east, and a possible entrance faces southeast. People may have lived there, marked territory, or simply avoided it because the fairies already did.

On a rise in otherwise level grassland. Well-preserved almost circular rath (E-W 35.7m, N-S 34m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The outer bank is best preserved from WNW to E.
